In this book, real-life photos are used to help young people feel more comfortable with interacting with other children and making new friends. Mr. Rogers gently explains what it’s like to be a friend, emphasizing that sometimes friends don’t always get along, but that doesn’t mean they’re not friends anymore.
Making Friends By:Fred Rogers
I love this book! It helps teach children what friendship is all about. The ups and the downs. As well as how other friends or family members can help when you don't know how tell your friend how they made you feel.

This book is wonderful for children who are learning to make new friends, Fred Rogers explains the ups and downs of what comes along with making friends, such as learning to share toys, getting along, and also getting into fights. Making friends for the first time can be scary, but this book helps explain to children why it is important to make friends. I would read this book to a classroom. ages 4 to 8.
A book about making friends and the difficulties that sometimes come with doing that. Good for about 3 year-old due to more consistent friendships being explored during this age.
This story shows kids 3-5 ways of creating friendships and how hard it can be to make the friendships last.
The book begins with a great example of what a friend is, followed by a question to get the reader thinking. Throughout the book, Mr. Rogers defines different kinds of friends, and how we need friends in our lives.

This story is about friends and how they deal with their emotions. It shows the ups and downs of the relationship, and there are ways to work through them. It's a good book to help children about their first relationship outside the "family".
