Day after day, brand new ducks roll off a giant assembly line operated by alligators at the Colossal Duck Factory. Everything proceeds smoothly, until the day one of the alligators decides to take a wayward duck home. Over time, the alligator grows fond of his future dinner. Can a duck and an alligator really be friends in an alligator-eat-duck world? Find out in this charming and humorous friendship story.
A cute story with good illustrations regarinding duck eggs rescured from the assembly line to be sent for use. Machinery was in charge of alligators, who when one opened and a duck popped out, realized they were being consumed.

The alligator rescued him, and he decided to look around at the world. The alligator took him to Ducktown wherein a plan developed to free all the ducks.
Following the sun to a tropical area, they found the alligator and lone duck basking in the sun. Life became good for all.

Cute, but nothing of depth. While I admired the illustrations, the story was not engaging.
Sorta touching story about a crocodile who accidentally befriends a duck.

He didn't mean to befriend the duck, understand. He just wanted to fatten him up. But things happen. You know how it is.

When the duck finds out the truth, he sets off to free all the other ducks from being eaten, and they all escape and live happily ever after. Great illustrations, funny story.

No ducks were eaten in the making of this book.
This a book about a duck that goes home from the factory with the worker alligator. The Alligator pretends he wants to be friends with duck but really all that he wants is to trick the duck and eat him. In the end they become great friends and fly south together. The illustrations in this book are a bit dark and mysterious. This book can be used to talk about the relationship between the duck and alligator and how they became friends at the end. Also you can talk about overcoming challenges and differences.
32 months - Ducks hatched in a factory and fattened up for the sole purpose of being food for a population of alligators... Hummmm who does this sound like? Cute images, my favorite is the Hopper Nighthawks painting take off. Not a go to book for a great read but we'll keep it around.
An unlikely alliance forms between an alligator and a duck creating a bond of friendship between them. This bond helps them save the day.
