Another educational book featuring Clifford, this time about counting. It actually has a bit of a story as Emily Elizabeth throws another birthday party for Clifford. But all the festivities are constantly interrupted with demands that the reader count several different things on each page. It's kind of rude.
By the way, a while back we already had Clifford's Birthday Party, which features some of the same dog guests but tellingly excludes the kids who worried their presents weren't good enough. Apparently the presents were not good enough, and now only their dogs are welcome at this year's party. Yikes.

Count on Clifford is a great book for those in preschool or entering pre-K. The book only counts from numbers one through ten and resembles a search and find book because it instructs readers to count certain objects on each page. the numbers are all listed in bold so it draws attention to a young child easily. I thought that the illustrations and use of color in the book were perfect for readers of young ages because it was engaging. However, the book seemed outdated compared to more recently publishing books about math.
This book helps students to learn how to count with Clifford the dog. Students will love the bright colors of this book and the way that Clifford makes them reiterate the numbers so that they learn them.
This book tells how many of different things there are one through ten, and invites the reader to count the items mentioned, and later in the book additional items. It also tells the story of one of Clifford’s birthday parties.
