This is a very funny and silly book. It's not ment to be serious and the pictures make the little girls imagination come alive. She can not decide what is in her mothers belly, so she guesses impossible things that could be in there. It's a cute book in the fact that I'm sure it will get all children laughing and enjoying the day. Asking students, what they think the little girl will guess next will keep them engaged. I would love to read this book to students.
This book tells the story of a young child's perception of her mother's pregnancy. She thinks that her mom is so big she must have a hippopotamus inside her that will take all her toys. Then she thinks it must be a big dinosaur that will keep her awake, making her late for school. Once her mom denies those two, she thinks a crocodile must live insider her mom and will ruin all her artwork. When that option is disproved, she thinks a kangaroo must be in her mom, and it will steal her soccer ball. She thinks it must be a monkey, but in the end, she realizes that her baby brother was inside her mom all along. This is a good story to tell children with an expecting mother. This is good for children who are curious or fearful of what is show more inside their mommy. show less
