Description

For nearly 40 years, the International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY) has honored illustrators through the Hans Christian Andersen Awards and supported the growth of illustration for children worldwide. In honor of IBBY's work and to support its future endeavors, many of the world's greatest illustrators for children have donated art based on a text of their choice drawn from their childhood and culture. The result is a stunning book of illustrations featuring the contributions of show more illustrators worldwide, including Marie-Louise Gay, Rosemary Wells, Vera Williams, and Ange Zhang. Texts are presented in both the original language and English. Groundwood Books will donate 15 percent of all sales to the International Board on Books for Children. show less
