This is a cute bed time story about Rabbit, who hears all these noises as he tries to go to sleep. He gets rid of one noise and another pops up! I think that we can all relate to this. It teaches problem solving techniques as Mole (Rabbit's friend) eliminates each noise so that Rabbit can go to sleep. When Rabbit finally falls asleep, his snoring keeps Mole up.
This book is a good example of fantasy because it takes place in a realistic time and setting, but then the characters are a rabbit and a mole making it unbelievable. The book has a great style because it using Onomatopoeia's to describe the things that are keeping the rabbit and then the mole awake.
Media Used: Watercolor
Age Appropriateness: Primary
This is about a rabbit who can't sleep because the cvlock is ticking too loud. His friend the mole fixes the problem but there is always another reason the rabbit can't sleep. Finally the rabbit falls asleep but starts snoring. Now the mole can't sleep. The mole ends up slepping on the sofa.
This book is a good example of a fantasy because the reader believes that the animals were living like humans with human clothing and beds but in reality the animals do not live that way- they sleep on the ground. Age appropriate: primary. Media: colored pencils.
