A great personality development story. Annie becomes confident in her ability to learn and listen to what Bessie her puppy needs. She also learns that in instances she needs help, so can count on her mother.
This book tells the story of Annie, who gets a new puppy named Bess. Annie is puzzled by the things Bess does and wonders what it is that she wants. With help from her mother, Annie begins to recognize Bess' needs and help take care of her. I thought this book was a really good story. Kids will be able to relate as everyone wonders what their pet is trying to tell them when they do different things. Also, like Little Lamb, the pictures were beautiful and very realistic.

This book is a wonderful story of Annie and her dog Bess. Annie learns what Bess wants through her actions and body language. I loved reading this book, it reminded me of when I first had a puppy and I learned about all her needs through her actions and barks. Annie realizes that she can understand what Bess is saying and her needs. They explore the world around them.

Art is soft and inviting and welcomes you into the story about the relationship between a young girl and her new puppy. Annie is the main character and she and her new puppy, Bess, learn to play together and need to learn how to communicate. Annie needs self-concept and actualization to be able to recognize what her new puppy Bess is asking for in this story. Could make a good book to add to a lesson plan about dogs/pets.
Lovely story about friendship between a dog and loving owner. It is very sweet.

Annie falls in love with a puppy, she gets to have her and she manes her Bess. She has a great summer spending all her time with Bess. But when school starts back in the fall, Annie has to leave Bess with her mother in the day. Bess misses her but is happy everyday when the old school bus pulls up and it can be Annie and Bess again.

In this story, Annie gets a brand-new puppy named Bess. Annie loves her puppy Bess, and Bess loves Annie. Annie doesn’t realize that there is a lot of responsibility that comes with training a puppy so Annie's mother is teaching her how to pay close attention to the different signs her puppy makes, such as when she rattles her bowl or scratches the door. In Personality development, this promotes setting tasks and completing them. In addition to that Annie is working on how to read body language. The illustrations for this book are very well done and offer a relatable realistic view for the child. I would put this book at ages 3-5.

This book is about a girl named Annie who gets a new puppy and has plenty of fun with the dg at the beginning. Then Annie needs to go to school and the dog misses her so it sleeps at moms feet all day until the bus arrives and the two of. them are back to having a fun time.
