Maker of Things was an interesting book in my opinion! I have never heard of Denise Fleming so when I came across this book I thought it would be a good book to read and get to know about Denise Fleming. By reading this book I learned about her life and her family. This was a pretty short book which I liked because it wasn't overwhelming me with information.
This biography on Denise Fleming tells about her childhood and how she got into creating illustrations, which later allowed her to get into writting. She creates illustrations by using a technique known as pulp painting. I think this is a very interesting and creative technique. I might try to get a class to emulate her work by doing their own pulp painting.
