A highly entertaining mix of hardboiled detective, interplanetary drug crimes, alien plantlife, and nice frocks! Great to see a female protagonist living life to the full, instead of being the insipid girly love-interest for the he-man hero so often seen in SF from this era. Very enjoyable.
Fast, brash and creepy space novel by Rosel George Brown.
I have only read one of her other books. It was "Earthblood" which she co authored with the great Keith Laumer.
In the 1960s she wrote several short stories for the pulps but died young in 1967 before she could write many novels. Appearantly she wrote a sequel to this one which I may read someday.
Her main character is a fun, tough, policewomen who deals with strange murders that may or may not be related to the aliens and now living on Earth.
