Terrific Trains (Amazing Machines)

If lagomorphs and mustelids did run the railways, it would be pretty terrific. Unlike the authors, though, I'd try to make sure that the rabbits and the stoats worked different shifts.

Terrific Trains is a great picture book, depicting and explaining how trains work and the different kinds of trains there are. I loved all of the great colors and the little animals driving and riding on the trains in the illustrations. An educator could absolutely utilize this picture book for a math section for addition and subtraction using the railroad cars.

This is a wonderful concept book on trains. It shows different types of trains and the students I have read it to, seem to truly enjoy it! It is a easy and quick read for students to enjoy.

Summary:
This book is about trains and all the places they go, as well as the sounds they make. It explains what happens and what different trains carry.

Reflection:
This book would be great with kids who love trains. I like how it explained all the different places it goes, what sounds it makes, and also what each train carries.
