I'm only adding the title so I can complain about it here.
It's not romances that I object to; it's really bad romances I can't stand. The bad wasn't obvious at first, but became glaring midway through.
The angels angle was painful and kept getting worse. But the portrayal of the humans was offensive. The minister is a recent widower and his adult children have no clue why he might be depressed at the Christmas season and go on with their own separate lives.
The cowboy is also a widower who is portrayed as deeply in love with his wife, but he nearly jumps on the Woods woman after just meeting her. Not cool at all.

A Shirley, Goodness and Mercy are sent as angel ambassadors to Los Angeles by Gabriel to aid in answering prayers for three people. Karen Woods is a 12-year old who wants her parents to quit fighting and wants a horse. Paul Morris is a minister who wants to find peace after his wife has passed away with cancer and Catherine Goodwin is an old woman in a retirement home who wants her grandson, Ted to find a good woman to marry. With several twists and antics of the fun-seeking angels, their prayers are answered. A quick, light-hearted read.
I love so many books by Debbie Macomber, but The Trouble with Angels is not a favorite. It is cute, but slow paced and I wasn't able to connect with the characters like I have come to expect with DM's novels.
My virtually annual Christmas reading - amusing and helps with the 'spirit of Christmas'
I was lucky enough to get an autographed copy of this book at the used bookstore.
I love this series of the angels - who knew they could get into so much trouble.
