Day Leclaire has hooked me with DANTE'S BLACKMAILED BRIDE, the first book of a series titled, The Dante Legacy. Severo Dante was almost unnerved by the emotions and depth of feelings he felt for Francesca, especially since she was a rival jewelry designer. Willing to take her any way he could get her, Severo's scheme almost backfired. But there's just something about dominant men that makes my heart pound.

DANTE'S BLACKMAILED BRIDE is an entertaining and often times sensual read. I winced at Severo's audacity at times but found myself smiling when he and Francesca finally admitted their love. Talk about fate. Day Leclaire is now firmly on my Silhouette Desire auto buy list and I am anxiously awaiting the release of Marco's story, DANTE'S STOLEN BRIDE.

Enjoyed this first book in the Dante's Legacy series.

The Legacy refers to The Inferno. An instant zap of electricity and instant attraction for a Dante male when he meets "The One" for him. But these Dante heirs believe it just a fairy tale.

Severo is the eldest Dante brother and has no time for fairy tales. He's too busy rebuilding the jewelry empire his father almost destroyed. He does, however, always have time for a beautiful woman...and one just walked in that he can't seem to take his eyes off of. And what in the heck is that itch in his chest and palm?

Francesca is so close to living her dream of designing new jewelry and working close to her father (although he doesn't know she exists). On what should have been the biggest night show more of her life, she somehow lost her mind and ended up burning up the sheets with a stranger due to some irrefutable attraction! It's not until later she finds out who her mysterious stranger was...and boy, is she NOT happy. show less

The artwork is pretty good in this manga. So The story is a little erratic though so I’d have preferred if that had gone smoother. I would have given it a 5 star rating.
