Learn about the arctic starting with Aurora borealis and going all the way to Zooplankton. This non-fiction book has simple explanations of each letter, and a picture of the animal or plant. The pictures, however, are only a portion of the page and the plan text on a white background take up the rest of the page. Readers who are picture focused may not enjoy this book because the pictures do not give many cues to the words on the page. This book would be good for a public library as non-fiction for upper elementary aged children.
This book using real photographs to show different parts of the arctic from A-Z. It was really cool to see actual images of each things the book was talking about.
Great for ELL's because of the real pictures. Engaging because children love animals.
