Naná, hogy elolvastam, nem hagyhattam ki. Olyan őrület volt a filmsorozat miatt... Persze ez lett az eredeti veszte - túlságosan befolyásolt a film, a kép, az a megfogalmazás. Ettől függetlenül újra átéltem a kalandot, a két világ találkozását, a megismerkedést és persze a törvényszerű elválást...

Emilio di Roccanera signore di Valpenta e di Ventimigia diventa il Corsaro Nero per vendicare l'assassinio dei suoi tre fratelli ad opera di Wan Guld. Durante le scorribande si imbatterà in Honorata, bellissima giovane di cui si innamora e che alla fine del primo libro scoprirà essere la figlia del suo acerrimo nemico Wan Guld. Sebbene straziato dal dolore, per mantenere fede al giuramento di vendicare i fratelli con la morte di Wan Guld e di tutti i suoi familiari, abbandonerà Honorata su una scialuppa in balia del mare.

This is a classic of the also author of Sandokan. I read it when I was eight and it left a strong inspirational mood in me. I read it again recently, and although the story and narrative structure seemed totally different than when I first read it, its dynamic and exciting pace made remember gladly this classic of my childhood. The Black Corsair is a book of adventures and courage like the ones that are not longer written for young readers
