Angry Little Girls is a quick read. The graphics are clear and colorful. The pictures and text complement each other. The graphics are simple but convey a lot of emotion in the facial expressions. The story becomes disjointed when the focus changes from girl to girl, the common thread being their anger. Lee uses stereotypes and swearing to deliver and over-emphasize her message. Her attempt at humor seems forced by the stereotypical behaviors and comments of the characters. The issues the girls face as well as the angst and anger that the girls feel is true to teen development.
Meet the Angry Little Girls: Kim, Deborah, Maria, Wanda and Xyla. Each come with their own little version of angry and who become friends despite or because of their anger.

The book is mostly composed of short little vignettes. Many of them were extremely funny and I wanted to cut them out of the book and give them to friends. There is a sequal: Still Angry Little Girls, and I hope we hear more from these cute angry girls in the future.

Although the girls are drawn with the simplicity that makes one thing they might be 7 years old, they say some fairly mature things. Appropriate for young adult readers. Some explicit language may cause disruptions in classrooms with younger students.

Not big on comics/graphics but this was pretty adorable, very short, and a good choice to fulfill all of my comic prompts on my Book Riot Read Harder challenge.
This was really cute. Not for kids. There are a lot of cusswords.
Loved this book - shared it with all the "Angry Little Girls" in my life
