Little Ballet Star

Little girls who love ballet might love this title. I enjoyed it well enough - it's sort of a wish fullfilment tale of a little girl who goes to see her Aunt perform in the ballet, and she ends up getting to dance on stage at the end. The illustrations are not the best - the ballerinas were too "solid" in my opinion. Not a weight comment, just that they didn't seem very graceful from the artist's depiction of them.

Dreams help make life more special. They give us the motivation we need to make those dreams come true. Tilly's dream becomes reality as her she receives help from her aunt to make them come true. Good read just a bit unrealistic in my eyes. Most children don't have connections close in their family to help make dreams like this one come true.

52 months - O loved this book and we read it many times before it went back to the library. The ballet in the story was Sleeping Beauty which is her favorite.
