It's a tragic shame that the McLaughlin Planetarium has fallen to budget cuts - the museum citing lack of attendance (although the numbers were increasing and the facility was profitable) and lack of funding (at a time when the museum is undergoing yet another round of high-budget and high-visibility "improvements"). Now that the Zeiss projector has been sold off (for $1) and is to be broken up for parts, we're not likely to see a facility of this excellence in Toronto again.
