Fractured fairy tale rendition of Sleeping Beauty offers some new spins as well as a whole lot of tongue in cheek humor and side jokes. The illustrations are beautiful and add a lot of visual jokes, too. Younger kids will enjoy, but the older ones will get the most out of it.
Leave it to Bruce Hale to remake a fairy tale to make a reader chuckle. This would be so fun to read at story time. It’s a play on Sleeping beauty, but instead of falling into a sleep as a princess, she falls as a dragon with an unbelievably loud snore. It will take just the right Quince to awaken the beast. A really fun story for any age with fun and colorful illustrations.

In this new twist on the classic story of Sleeping Beauty, a princess is put under a sleeping spell of an evil fairy and turns into a pink/purple dragon! Whats more is she snores! Narrated by a sarcastic frog, Snoring Beauty is definitely a hilarious twist on the original. I would recommend this book to students in 1st-4th grade. It is also a great book to be read aloud, for the abundance of humor in the book.
A cute/silly take on the Sleeping Beauty tale although I didn't entirely like the whole no one wants to play with someone who's perfect angle (the solving of that was kind of cute though (perfect snoring, hee hee). Illustrations are very classical but do denote some of the silliness of the tale.
In honor of appreciate a Dragon Day, I shared this with 3rd & 4th graders, who gobbled it up. Very tongue in check humor and an original spin on Sleeping Beauty.
