Stuck in the Mud

One little chick is stuck in the mud and the entire barnyard has to help pull him out. much like The Enourmous Turnip and One Duck Stuck-- Clarke's work is also different-- more irreverent with a clever little chick who tricks the bigger, and older animals. Sure to delight the preschool set!

This is a very funny childrens book. It also shows how everyone comes together to help another in need.

similar to the enormous turnip---a cumulative tale where all the barnyard animals come out one at a time to help the hen whose chick is stuck in the mud. the ending is funny and cute and surprising-- and the kids adults love it. fun to read. a storytime crowd pleaser.

A little chick becomes stuck in the mud, a whole slew of farm animals try to unstick the chick. Finally when the mud pit is full the chick jumps out revealing she was never stuck to begin with, she just wanted animals to play with.

In this cumulative, rhyming story, a little chick needs help from all his farmyard friends to get out of the mud.
