Donald Michael Kraig was born on August 17, 1951. He received a degree in philosophy from UCLA. He also studied public speaking and music on the university level. He received a fellowship to the University of Southern California where he received a certificate in multimedia, 3D graphics, computer animation, and web design, eventually teaching show more computer classes there. As a musician, he performed in concert choirs, madrigal groups, and in bands that opened for groups like Elton John and Great White. He was a certified Tarot Grandmaster, clinical hypnotherapist, hypnosis instructor, and master practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming. He taught courses in the Southern California area on such topics as Kabalah, Tarot, Magic, Tantra, and Psychic Development. He wrote several books including Modern Magick, Modern Sex Magick, and Tarot and Magic. His only novel was entitled The Resurrection Murders. He also contributed to several books including Ecstasy Through Tantra, Planetary Magick, The Rabbi's Tarot, and The Encyclopedia of Magic and Alchemy. He was the editor for of Llewellyn's New Times magazine and FATE magazine as well as Llewellyn's free Encyclopedia. He died from pancreatic cancer on March 17, 2014 at the age of 62.
