My 85 year old knitting friend lent this to me to read. As I have hundreds of my own books to read, I thought it best to read it promptly and return it.
What a pleasant surprise it proved to be. The rich setting of Guyana and the colourful characters provided a real insight into another culture and a fresh look at times past.
