This book was a lifecycles book. It was a very informative book about a turtle’s life. The pictures were very vivid and kept my attention all the way through the book. I personally liked this book because it was not boring. It was not just a list of facts. It was very interesting and stayed at a young person’s level. One extension idea is that as a class we can get a pet turtle or bring one in and look at it. Another idea is that I can have my students draw a picture of what they think a turtle looks like before we begin to read it.
This is about how sea turtles migrate to lay eggs. It gives a very simple description of the process and what happens. The baby turtles head back to sea, and those that make it can journey all over again.
This is a nonfiction book that explores the life cycle of a green turtle.
