Marko is on trial for illegally teaching the doctrine of Descensionism, which claims that the inhabitants of planet Kforri did not evolve but rather came from Earth in a spaceship centuries ago. Guess who's right? Okay, so it's a touch predictable and the Earthly references aren't nearly as clever as they want to be, but if you're looking for a spot of light (and quick - only 160 pages) fantasy, you could certainly do worse. Just try to ignore the sexism; it's all too common in old-school fantasy.
Evolution from the existing animal stock versus, arrival from off-planet, fuels the in-fighting on this planet. Fortunately our team of adventurers set off to discover the truth, and/or rescue a missing wife.
