Trust Me

Beth Carter is a single mom of four boys, who are a handful to say the least, and even with a line of odd clients and a very busy life with her four very funny boys, she’s lonely.

There is a hilarious line up of patients and those boys are a riot for sure! I really liked the balance of strife in the lives of the characters and the humor to be found even in the less than adequate situations. Life is not perfect, but what can we do? This book had some real laugh out loud moments and I did indeed laugh in spite of the situations…Really good read!

This is my first book by Ms. Novak and I loved it! Skye was nearly raped 4 years ago. She fights off her attacker and he goes to jail. Unfortunately he's going to get out a lot sooner than any one thought. While they scramble to find a way to pin a few other murders on Oliver, Skye works closely with David - the original detective on the case. The two have very strong feelings for each other, but David feels an obligation to his sick ex-wife. As Oliver prepares to leave prison and exact his revenge on all those that have wronged him, Skye starts receiving threating messages. Does Oliver have someone working for him on the outside? Or does someone who has nothing to do with him want Skye dead??? Is it possible that two separate people, show more with two separate agendas both want to get rid of Skye? A fast paced thriller with enough twists and turns to keep you guessing until the end. I'm looking forward to next two books in the trilogy - which will focus on Skye's two friends & partners at The Last Stand (the organization they formed to help fight violence). A show less

Enjoyable romantic suspense, first in the Last Stand trilogy. When Skye Kellerman was the victim of a vicious attack, she and fellow survivors formed a group called the Last Stand, to help other people in bad situations. Skye must reopen old wounds when her attacker is released from prison, intent on destroying her. 'Trust Me' features a strong heroine and a good, interesting storyline.

Not bad but not memorable. Never drew me in to connect with the characters.

This was a great book with a strong heroine. I was very plesed with this selection. I have not had a book that i liked this much in quite a while.

Good mystery.

I thought this was a great book...I will be reading the next one in the series to see if they are all this good!
