Description
The Official TYPO3 book, written and endorsed by members of the core TYPO3 team. Using plenty of examples and a friendly style, this book takes a detailed practical approach to using, administrating, and developing TYPO3 websites. The first section introduces TYPO3 and covers its basic installation and configuration. Section two shows how editors can create and manage content and assets, prepare content for the appropriate media, and integrate content into appropriate applications, such as a show more website. In section three, administrators learn how to maintain, monitor, and control TYPO3 systems. Finally the book shows developers how to extend the out-of-the-box functionalities of TYPO3. Users, administrators, and developers of TYPO3 will all benefit from this comprehensive and authoritative guide. show lessTags

Like Typo3 itself and its documentation (at least, prior to version 4.4), this book is pretty impenetrable and written by people whose first language is not English. I'm agog to read the update (I assume there will be one?) for Typo3 version 4.4, which is a significant improvement in usability over previous versions. Let's hope the book will be, too.
