Adam Hamilton, senior pastor of The United Methodist Church of the Resurrection in Leawood, Kansas, was born on July 12, 1964. He grew up in the Kansas City area and graduated from Blue Valley High School. He completed his BA at Oral Roberts University and graduate school at Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University. Hamilton show more delivered the sermon at the Inaugural Prayer Service held at the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C., following the second inauguration of President Barack Obama. He has written many books explaining questions of faith in a down-to-earth fashion.
