I wish that I could say that I liked this book. I really wanted to and I tried, but it just didn't happen. The story had a lot of potential set in the 1930's in an exotic locale. However, I found the characters to be cliched and downright annoying at times and the plot was a rerun of other adventure tales. Nothing new here. Maybe Mr. thrasher's talents at storytelling lie in another genre.
