This is a very funny book. Daniel Funk is an 11 year old boy surrounded by a family of girls; 3 sisters, his mother, his grandmother, his great-grandmother, the do, the cat. Even the fish is a girl. The story traces his adventures as Daniel mysteriously shrinks - and discovers he has a miniature twin brother. This story sticks out in my mind as a book that boys would love - fast paced story line, bodily function humor (a lot about burping), witty dialogue, and great action. If I had a student that needed to get interested in reading chapter books, this would definitely be one of my first considerations.
I did not love this book, but if I were a middle school boy, I might very well love this book.
Boys will love this one. Very funny book. Shrinking boy with a twin brother he never knew he had.
