Beautifully told (and illustrated) story of an 8-yr old boy who takes the family goats to graze daily. He pays attention to the natural world around him, remembering the lessons of his grandmother. One night, one of the goats begins to give birth so they must spend the night on the desert. His return the next morning is a cause for celebration; he has proved his reliability.
Excellent for Muslims, non-Muslims, all libraries. The boy prays, Allah is mentioned, boy follows to his grandmother’s and father’s advice.
