An interesting book of the history of prostitution with little to no academic foundation.
Seriously.
Gene Simmons wrote a book.
A decadently golden puffy covered book that even comes tied with a strip of red felt.
It has words and pictures and everything.
It is about hookers.
Packaged as if something more profound is happening, it's basically a fluffy summary of the history of prostitution.
It won't be titillating enough for some, though perhaps scandalous for others, like my mom.
BUY BORROW or BURN?
Just know it's out there.

I had just finished, Kiss and Make-Up so I thought I'd read another book by Gene Simmons. It was ok, but I enjoyed Kiss and Make-up much more.
I found this book fun to read, and somewhat enlightening. As usual, I agree with Gene Simmons on his opinions, particularly those on the differences between men and women.

- The reason I was interested in doing this book was that in a free society such as ours, shouldn't we be able to have as many choices as we want? Both at work and in our private lives?
Isn't a Lady of the Night simply emp... (show all)owering herself and making her own decisions, regardless of what society says?
Isn't what goes on behind closed doors between two ro more consenting adults a matter of privacy?
Should the Government, Religion and Society have a say in everything we do?
Do we all have to conform to someone else's view of what makes us happy?
Shouldn't we legalize the Trade once and for all?
Because whether we do ro not, it will continue to exist.
It always has.
It always will. (Page 169)
