During this book a little boys dog is killed, his classmates want to cheer him up, but he doesn't want to talk to anyone. This teaches the children that they are not alone and talking about it helps. You could read this story individually or as a small group. Ages 3-5.
Jim's dog (Muffins) passes away because he got hit by a garbage truck; classmates help him cope with the situation. Ages 4-7
This book properly describes what a child may see or experience if their dog dies.
This is a great book to red to kids if there dog or one of there pets dies. This book has great pictures because it shows you how someone might act like if there pet dies. I would defiantly recomend parents or teachers to read this book to there students because I think it will make them feel like that they are not the only ones going through a death. I will defiantly read this book to my students and kids beecause of this.

Summary: Jim lost his dog, so he did not talk with his classmates and did not smile. Then, his friends tried to support him and cheered him up, but it did not work. However, Paul, Jim’s friend, understands his emotion, and he can help and cheer him up.
*Children can make inferences about the feelings and intentions of others and can view a situation from more than one perspective, seeing the viewpoint of another person.
