Leonardo's Dream

Leonardo is a little penguin with the desire to fly. Leonardo tries everything to fly, but poor Leonardo cannot accomplish his dreams. Leonardo keeps trying till he eventually finds a flying machine. Leonardo finally accomplishes his dream. The lesson learned is with perseverance one can accomplish anything.
I can relate to Leonardo’s story because the lesson is perseverance. Perseverance is a hard thing for anyone to grasp. I have always had difficulty with math. I have had to learn perseverance with this subject. I have to remind myself perseverance pays off.
In the classroom, I would introduce the concept of perseverance. I would have the students write something they have accomplished through hard work using the letters of show more Perseverance. (P-painting R-running and so on). I would also have the students write a song. That they can sing when they need to remember perseverance. show less

leonardo's dream is to one day be able to fly but as a penguin, it seems very unlikely to happen. eventually his friends help him to build an airplane to help him fly.
