Visual art A pamphlet contains over seventy four-color images accompanied by lively and informative captions that tie the images to the literary works in the Norton Anthology. The accompanying CD-ROM includes over 250 images sized for classroom projection.

Music Over thirty-five musical selections (more than ninety minutes) representing key musical styles and forms, from the sacred and secular music of the Middle Ages to Stravinsky and Britten in the modern period. Annotations provide helpful historical and cultural contexts for listening.

Audio Performances Over thirty readings and performances, including passages of Old English and Middle English poems, poems in dialect, and readings by contemporary poets, notably a generous selection of Beowulf read by Seamus Heaney.

CD also includes maps, literary terms and more.
