"This book will show you, as a manager, how to prevent failure by guiding and empowering your people to define and understand the right requirements early in the product development cycle." "Drawing on their 50 combined years of real-world product development experience in many industries - including aerospace, medical transportation, insurance, and military applications - the authors spell out exactly what's involved in "doing it right the first time." If you've ever wanted to know some first hand helpful hints on managing resources, this may be one of many resources available to you.
Though, to be brutally honest, I would not make this your only book.
Written as if it were more an inspirational work than a practical work, this book leaves a lot to be desired with respect to information pertaining to requirements management. In fact, it's almost as if you were reading a copy of Reader's Digest, Requirements Management edition, complete with its own "Humor in Uniform" section.
After reading this book, very few new and helpful things were brought forth, all of which I already knew.
If you need a requirements management book, get something a little more informative. If you want to feel good show more while doing requirements management, then maybe this book is for you. show less

This book provided good basics for someone new to the business analyst world, and good background information.
