Any retelling of the Ramayana is worthwhile, since it's one of the most inventive and delightful epic tales ever devised. This one, however, is over-explicatory. The narrator rarely allows the characters to simply act, but he must forever feel the need to explain why they do the things they do.
The story of Rama and Sita. Who doesn't want a good translation of that?
