A decent 184 page synopsis of the life and times of Abraham--without being overtly dogmatic about the literalness of the Bible. Not exciting, but pleasantly educational. The various references in the Bible are conjoined with various archeological, anthropological and historical studies to shed some reasonable light and interpretation on a rather vague personage in the Bible. For example, the destruction of Sodom & Gomorrah is easily associated with an earthquake and subsidence at the approximate date at the correct location--without a need for reference to divine intervention, without denying the possibility.
