This book presents in painstaking details, the case of the kidnapped (and later murdered) infant son of the famous aviator, Charles A. Lindbergh. The book is historically accurate and even provides "conspiracy" (for lack of a better term) theories and loose ends still surrounding the case. The twist is that it is told in comic strip style, with expositional captions detailing the story over panels of stylized images. Even knowing what would eventually happen, I found myself on the edge of my seat waiting to see what would happen next. This is one of the few books I could put in the category of "not able to put down" -- I actually read it all in one sitting.
I never knew much about the kidnapping and murder of Charles Lindbergh's baby boy. This true crime graphic novel lays out the details, the timeline, the characters involved, points out the inconsistencies and is a compelling mystery overall. This kidnapping case was unfortunately botched by police and spotlight-seeking meddlers from the start. Tragic story...
Rick Geary has shifted centuries with The Lindbergh Child, but in all other respects, this volume fits in naturally with his previous series, the Treasury of Victorian Murder. And as always, Geary's talents are ideally suited to the task. His graphic style has matured wonderfully over the years, and is now so instantly recognizable and consistently entertaining that it's almost too easy to take his considerable abilities for granted. In this book, Geary tackles the complex and baffling case of the Lindbergh kidnapping, and suffice to say that no other artist could pull this one off with the grace and style inherent to Rick Geary.

The reader is denied the comfort of seeing justice done, thus left to face their prurient curiosity about how murder affects others, even those removed in time and space. It’s a disturbing yet worthwhile read, raising important questions about human nature.
