An absolutely adorable book with charming illustrations. Loved this as a kid.
I remember Richard Scarry from my childhood. They still hold up. My toddler loves the intricate pictures.
This book takes the reader throughout a town of people getting ready to start another busy day in Busytown. This would be a wonderful book for a unit on community helpers! It lists several characters with different jobs throughout Busytown. For more on this author and lesson plan ideas, parents and teachers should visit www.randomhouse.com/kids/richardscarry.
I remember enjoying this series of books as a television show as a child. Although I enjoyed the television seriess for me personally I found this book hard to connect with and after I could not connect with the book I found it long and hard to read. http://www.krey.org is not the official site but it has a lot of information on Scarry's books such as character lists. I could not find an official websit for this author.
