Bitter Flowers

Well, I am sad to say that this novel is one I am having a hard time finishing. After reading so many positive things about this series and the writing of Gunnar Staalesen, I have been very disappointed in this novel.

I'm going to try and muddle through this first book and try another, but it's been tough.

My best way to describe my disappointment is while reading the book, my mind pictures old plays that used to be on American television in the 1970's.

Maybe I'm missing something or maybe later novels will grab me, but I'm not so sure.

Un beau style littéraire fait un peu passer une intrigue des plus complexes. Et pourquoi un tel titre ? je ne vois aucun rapport avec le roman...
