Pharagonesia is a great collection of unassociated short pieces by Moebius, one of the most talented figures in the late twentieth-century European comics scene. The title story is a wonderful exploration of the spiritual and cross-cultural themes that are found throughout Moebius' work, and "Double Escape" is a short but telling examination of the artist's central philosophy. As always, Moebius' artwork is exquisite, and even some of the coloring is genuinely good and appropriate. All-in-all, this is a solid volume in the legacy of one of the medium's great creators.
