Joe Rosenblatt was born in Toronto, Canada on December 26, 1933. He was a writer and artist. His first collection of poetry, The LSD Leacock, was published in 1966. His other books included The Bird in the Stillness and Bite Me!: Musings on Monsters and Mahem. He received a Governor General's Literary Award for Top Soil in 1976 and the B.C. Book show more Prize for Poetry for Poetry Hotel in 1986. He collaborated with poet Catherine Owen on the 2008 collection Dog. He died on March 11, 2019 at the age of 85.
