I won't lie, the main reason I chose to listen to Found Money was because of George Guidall. While a bit fantastic and unbelievable, Found Money was nonetheless entertaining. Recommend if your looking for an easy, fast paced thriller. I can easily see this being 4 stars if the characters were developed a bit more.

This review may be skewed by the fact that George Guidall read Found Money to me. Fairly sure I would enjoy hearing him read grocery lists. Hard to believe a little over a year ago I never thought I would enjoy audiobooks.
This is the first book by James Grippano for me. Found Money, the audio version just seemed so contrived. I did not like the ending. It seemed to me that it may have been figured out before the rest of the story was written!

Amy Parkins is a single mother working long hours and feeling guilty about not seeing her daughter more. Her mother had died about twenty years under mysterious circumstances that Amy never felt comfortable with. Gram was taking care of Amy’s daughter while she worked. One day, Amy receives a box filled with money.

Ryan Duffy is a physician who inherits several millions from his father who he thought was barely making it financially. His father told him that he had done something that he was ashamed of in the past show more but wouldn’t say what it was.

Both Amy and Ryan set out to discover the secrets behind the money so they can decide with their conscience whether or not to keep it. They find out that their secrets are intertwined.

There is danger and intrigue but I was very disappointed in this story. It was so planned even with some strange twists thrown in. I don’t feel like I can recommend it.
