I loved The Berenstain Bears as a child, and I'm thrilled that my children love them too. We've had Berenstain Bear books and movie/videos in our collection for years.... each of my 5 children have loved them, and has gone through a Berenstain Bears phase at some point..... my youngest, 7, is currently in this phase. These books are part of our bedtime reading every night.

This is one of Berenstain books that I feel is targeted towards alittle older children....8yr+.....there are topics on wars, graves and death, etc.
This year's family vacation is not what Brother and Sister Bear had in mind. Mama and Papa Bear are eager to explore the wonders of Bear Country, but the cubs would rather be anywhere but the backseat of the family car! Brother and Sister Bear are disappointed to learn that their vacation will be a long, boring car trip rather than an amusement park, but Mama and Papa think they're ready to see Bear Country's parks and landmarks.
This book illustrates how sometimes people get homesick and want to return home for vacation. The bears travel to a couple different places on a family vacation. This would be a good book to read to someone going on vacation.
