The first few chapters on choosing an MCU and hardware/software partition were very good. The rest of the book seems rather antiquated. It's over 20 years old at this point, and a lot of changes have occurred in the microcontroller universe in that time. That said, lots of the major points in this book are still valid.
A good primer for RTS systems, again bought for Degree.
