The theme of "The Night of the Stars" is that if you want something bad enough, you have to go get it. I found this book to be rather clever. I would recommend this book for second graders.
This is a book that is good for the early elementary school level. It is a fairy tale pour quoi that explains why there are stars and the moon in the sky. It is a cute book with good illustrations.

A folktale that explains the origin of the moon and the stars
