Typical teenage dilemma solved in a typical way. I always liked how Stacey was good at math but also fashion-sensible and "pretty" as this provided for a nice mix of character.
My biggest issue: Stacey never really resolves the conflict with her dad, nor does she make any attempt to. As a child of a workaholic father, this is frustrating.
