Early children's books and their illustration

I say skimmed, but really I read everything a non-scholar would be expected to. ?áThe introduction is the bulk of the text; the rest of the words are annotations for the plates. ?áThis is a coffee table book that I found in my son's college library when I went up with him today and waited for him during the single class he has on Friday - I easily paged through the entire book, collecting lots of titles of books that I want to find on Project Gutenberg, collecting names of artists I want to find works' images of for my wallpaper backgrounds, and reading annotations, or children's texts on the photographed pages, whenever something caught my fancy.

Highly recommended to all fans of the genre if they have access to an academic library or another source. ?áNot quite amazing enough, imo, for a simple fan to buy. show less
