When Amy's father gives her a thoroughbred jumper, she decides to begin showing again. She meets Daniel at a local event and becomes interested in helping him treat his horse, Amber.
When Amy meets Daniel, she is stunned by his defensive nature. She can't figure out how someone with so much love for his horse could be so cold to everyone else. But as Amy gets to know Daniel, she begins to understand him. She respects that he won't give in to the pageantry of the elite show circuit - and that he doesn't care what others say about his horse. Daniel rides Amber like it's the two of them against the world. And Amy wants to do everything she can to help them conquer it.

Have you ever met someone who had misjudged you? Someone who thought you were someone completly different than who you really are? Well thats the story of Daniel and Amy Fleiming.
Amy Fleiming is a seventeen year old girl, who has ALOT going on in her life. Her family owns a horse farm in Virgina that cares for and cures damaged horses with a bad past. Amy is mostly responsible for all the horses and curing after her mother died in a wretched car accident. She does this with help from a stable hand/boyfriend Ty, and another hand Ben. Her sister Lou and her Grampa, are mostly incharge of bills and dinners, but are always there for support. Amy's father dosen't speak much with her family.
Amy was at a horse show when someone she hates was show more talking to her, when Amy saw Daniel, and large boy, with his horse that looked simply like it didin't belong at a horse show. The girl Amy was with, who she hates, was saying some nasty comments about Daniel and his horse Amber. Amy would never ever say anything about a horse in a bad way. Daniel had thought that Amy was the one who was saying awful comments about Amber, the odd horse. Daniel had given Amy nasty looks all day, and had been rude. Later in the book Amber and Daniel are in a terrible accident, and Amy offers Daniel a place to keep Amber for free. Amber never jumps again, but they stick side by side through it all. Amy and Daniel become close friends also.
I really loved this book. It provided the perfect balance between horses, and real lifes. It's an awesome book that will for sure warm your heart. show less
