This is an introduction to the sky above us for young children featuring Harry and Ralph, a young boy and his dog as they journey around the world in a hot-air balloon. On the way they come across all sorts of things, from weather balloons to polar bears and the geographic principles which shape our environment. It also includes projects and activities for children to try out themselves. This title explains climate, the atmosphere and the water cycle. Children are encouraged to observe, measure and record the weather and also to think about seasonal changes and the difference between hot and cold countries.
