Mad Mike: A Biography of Brigadier Michael Calvert

David Rooney studied history at Oxford and then received a research degree in commonwealth history. He has been a senior lecturer at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (the British Army's initial officer training center) and has written extensively on military battles and World War II. His writings include Burma Victory, Wingate and the show more Chindits, Mad Mike, Military Mavericks, Guerrilla, and Surrender at New Orleans. He lives in London, England. John S. Major is a senior lecturer at the China Institute, and a member of the Columbia University Faculty Seminar on Early China. A specialist in the Intellectual history of early China, he is the author, coauthor, or editor of nearly thirty books. He lives in New York City. show less
